Well, that was odd…
I spent an afternoon talking to a social media specialist. It was like therapy, but also not. I must say for people that are looking for a sounding board or just need a push to get going, talking to agencies have helped me a ton.
So when I was not the average travel or food blogger, I wanted to do something else, something that was more like a media empire than an influencer account, I baffled their team.
But the odd part was me saying I was writing a couple of web apps to support the business, and making them open source. The proposition there is that it would help boost my credibility in the art world, but also get me code work so I don’t have to be a starving artist. Poverty never suited me.
At that point the conversation went totally tech, for 45 minutes of an hour, we talked tech, the marketplaces, and why I would give the code away for free.
I came out of this meeting with Jira tickets instead of hashtags. My content strategy is now a series of sprints. Wait, wasn’t this a post about social media? I guess I’ll get back to it after I deploy this code.
